Co-Founder & Director, Content
Eliana is a student at Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) with a minor in Biology on the pre-med track. As co-founder, her input helped establish the direction for Dragonfly. She continues that role as a forward-thinking student voice in decisions for the Initiative. In her role as Director of Content, she leads research and generates peer communications on the interconnectedness between mental health and neuroscience.
Eliana’s passion for mental health advocacy began in high school, where she founded Minds Matter, a mental health club dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding mental health at Middleton High School. Through the club, she created presentations, hosted educational meetings, and organized fundraisers to promote awareness.
Mental health is especially important to Eliana because of her personal experiences with anxiety, particularly during the college recruiting process and while balancing academics with athletics.
Eliana volunteers in her spare time, teaching English to Spanish-speaking children. She also enjoys running in Forest Park, hanging out with friends, and is on a personal mission to try every coffee shop in St. Louis.
