The Jed Foundation (JED)

JED provides information on emotional health issues and guidance for young people transitioning to adulthood. Check them out at The Jed Foundation. 

Our Minds Matter

Our Minds Matter is an inclusive student-led movement of teens challenging culture around mental health and working toward a day when no teen dies by suicide. 

Mental Health America (MHA)

MHA offers a comprehensive suite of resources for youth mental health, including programs for schools, parents, and young advocates. Their Youth Mental Health portal provides tools for students, educators, and caregivers to support mental well-being. 

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI provides educational articles, stories and videos targeted to a wide variety of audience types. In addition, NAMI supports student-led mental health clubs on high school and college campuses through its NAMI on Campus program.  Learn more at NAMI.

Athlete-Specific Resources

Courage First Athlete Helpline

The Courage First Athlete Helpline works to break the cycle of abuse in sports and support athletes’ mental well-being. Licensed crisis counselors who are specially trained in handling the unique challenges athletes face are available by phone, text or chat.

Sports Psychology.org

The Sports Psychology.org website features a huge list of books, videos, podcasts, articles and website links on their Student Athlete Mental Health page. Some resources are specifically for parents and coaches, too.

Suicide and Crisis Resources

988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

A national network providing free, confidential support to individuals in suicidal crisis or emotional distress, accessible 24/7 via call or text at 988. Learn more at 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. 

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

Provides crisis services, educational materials, and support for those affected by suicide. https://afsp.org/
